EgyptWide for Human Rights is recruiting a Fundraising, Monitoring, and Evaluation Specialist to join its team and contribute to the organization’s mission to promote human rights in Egypt and international accountability. The Fundraising, Monitoring, and Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all of the organization’s fundraising activities. In particular, the selected candidate will be responsible for the design of grant proposals and project monitoring and reporting, and for engaging current and potential donors through the maintenance of a warm and cooperative relationship and the circulation of regular updates on the organization’s work. 

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual, with a proven record of relevant experience in the field of grant writing, and highly committed to the cause of human rights and accountability in international relations, to help EgyptWide thrive.

The position is part-time, mostly remotely, with the possibility of occasionally taking part in organizational retreats or missions. The level of hourly commitment and salary will be discussed with the candidate, depending on qualifications, level of experience, and monthly or weekly availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Grant Proposal Development:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities from governmental agencies, foundations, and other funding sources that align with EgyptWide’s core values, mission, and areas of expertise.
  • Write and submit grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's mission, programs, and impact.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other staff to gather necessary information and data for proposals. Work closely with program managers to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure they are adhered to.

2. Donor Engagement:

  • Identify potential donors and funding opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors and partners.
  • Develop and implement donor stewardship strategies to ensure long-term support.
  • Assist in organizing events or campaigns to engage donors and raise funds.

3. Project Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Conduct impact assessments to measure the effectiveness and long-term impact of projects on human rights issues.
  • Use evaluation findings to make informed decisions on project adjustments and improvements. Share findings and lessons learned to support transparency and organizational learning.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports, including both qualitative and quantitative data, for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Human Rights Studies, Nonprofit Management, Grant Writing), with a Master's degree considered advantageous.
  • At least 2-year proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing grants for nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in monitoring and evaluation, with the capacity to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent research, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of human rights issues and related international conventions and agreements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and project evaluation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
  • Familiarity with donor relationship management tools and software is a plus.
  • Language requirements: fluency in English is required, while Arabic, Italian, and other languages are a plus.
