We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to manage our organization's social media accounts and website on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing our social media strategy, creating and publishing engaging content, managing and growing our online community, and analyzing and reporting on social media metrics.
The social media manager will work closely with our Communication and Media unit, aligning their activity in the direction of the organization’s goals. 

EgyptWide is a non-governmental organization registered in Italy created and led by a group of Egyptian human rights defenders in exile and Italian activists.
Our mission is to promote human rights in Egypt by addressing the aspects of international relations which reproduce or sustain dynamics of oppression, systemic and armed violence, and exploitation.
Our work encompasses social research, advocacy, and support to fellow Egyptian human rights defenders.

Job title: social media manager
Position: part-time up to 50%, paid (salary might vary depending on level of experience and expertise)
Contract duration: 12 months, starting immediately
Location:  Remote

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our organization's mission and goals;
  • Create, curate, and publish engaging and high-quality content for our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram;
  • Manage and grow our online community by engaging with followers and responding to comments and messages;
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote our organization's events, publications, and initiatives;
  • Analyze and report on social media metrics, such as engagement rates and follower growth, to measure the success of our social media efforts;
  • Manage and maintain our organization's website, ensuring that all content is up-to-date and accurate;
  • Plan and execute the publication plan of the NGO;
  • Work with the team to develop creative ideas and strategies to promote the NGO.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in social media and website managing or content creation;
  • Hands on experience in content management (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) and a clear understanding of digital platforms and tools;
  • Excellent copywriting skills,
  • Ability to create contents to present the organization’s work and aims using different media (graphics, video editing, podcasts, social media platforms),
  • Ability to deliver creative content, as well as brainstorming and presenting ideas,
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English and at least one second language between Arabic and Italian (while fluency in a thrid language between Arabic and Italian is not strictly required, it represents an asset);
  • Passion for social causes and commitment to the NGO's mission.
